The casserole will be quite thin in a 9×13 pan as it is. I would think about doubling the fathead dough to fill the pan a bit more. You’ll want to add 1 or 2 more eggs before baking as well if doubling the dough.

This recipe used sausage and swapped the cauliflower for chopped cabbage, added mushrooms and onion. Browned it all with the sausage this recipe used an Italian cheese blend and shredded Parmesan cheese to top it off Our new favorite.

I doubled the recipe to make lunches for my 2 daughters and my husband and I for a few days. I am going to try this in my cast iron pan but haven’t yet. I don’t heat it long before adding the oil but when I am cooking chicken that is likely to stick I make sure that my oil is hot before adding. You also will see the butter (if using real butter) start to brown and you know that it is the time to add chicken. It needs to sizzle when your chicken touches the pan.
